The Britain in Bloom Big Friendship Chair

Civic Pride Rossendale has decorated a big chair to celebrate Rawtenstall's entry into the Royal Horticulture Society Britain in Bloom competition. The chair is located on the platform at the East Lancashire Railway station.

Civic Pride (Rossendale) volunteers work tirelessly to remove litter, educate youngsters about its dangers and restore and maintain community gardens including the banking opposite ASDA. To maintain the hanging and barrier baskets alone costs over £4000 per year. Please help us do even more.

Story

The Civic Pride Rossendale and East Lancashire Railway Friendship chair is our way of celebrating not only the Royal Horticulture Society 60 years of Britain in Bloom but also the many friendships within our community groups.

Your donation will be split between the two charities.

If you have entered the photograph competition by submitting a photo of the friends on the big chair then you could win a prize. The top prize is a family travel ticket on the railway.

Upload your photo to jan@civic-pride.org.uk and you could be taking a great day out on a marvellous East Lancs heritage train.
