Organised by Life Vineyard ChurchThe Byker. Pantry is a project in the Byker Wall. It's vision is to reduce food poverty by providing at least half-price food to residents of Byker Wall. Members of the Pantry can save around £500-600 each year on food and household goods.
The Byker Pantry is more than a food project it is a place of community and support. Over the last 4 years we have seen many people supported and cared for. We have been able to help people back into work, help them avoid eviction, get out of debt, and so much more.
This Christmas we were able to provide a free photo shoot for families that couldn't easily afford a professional family portrait. Over 30 families will receive a professional framed family portrait, beautifully wrapped as a gift from The Pantry and Life Vineyard Church.
The Byker Pantry is so much more than food... it is a family and a project seeking to lead Byker Wall into life.
