We are an enthusiastic group of parents that want to raise money for our school, Philip Southcote. This is an amazing Special Needs School and the monies we raise goes towards giving every pupil the access to the most up to date ,comfortable, safe and fun learning environment.

Story

The Southcote Parents and Friends Association (PFA) is a registered charity (number 1180299) and raises much needed funds for the school.

Philip Southcote School is an amazing and energetic special needs school for students aged 11 to 19. The school meets a range of special educational needs including autism, speech and language difficulties as well as a range of medical, physical and sensory needs. The school's educational offer has the overarching goal of preparing our students for adulthood.

Our current project is to raise funds to purchase a new school minibus to enable students to attend medical appointments, participate in therapeutic activities and learn life skills in community settings outside the school. Outdoor Learning will add to their understanding of self, others and their environment.

Minibus will help transport our children for community-based learning, workplace visits, and practical experiences. This will ensure

students gain real-world knowledge that prepares them for adult life. They will also develop essential life skills like ordering lunch in a café, budgeting for and purchasing dinner, learning first aid, and engaging with fire services to discuss fire safety.

Our aim is for every student to build the confidence, skills, and values essential for leading happy, independent lives, while actively contributing to society as respectful, engaged citizens with a strong sense of community.
