The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileIt has long been a vision of St Thomas to be the heart of the community, reaching out to all kinds of people. Social isolation and loneliness have been identified as a growing problem in our society and no more so than during the coronavirus pandemic. A survey carried out by St Thomas in 2016 and a more recent survey by Better Connected Beaconsfield echoed these findings.
We want The Dove Caf to become a place where all will feel welcome, where they can make friends, join in the various activities and find help and support where needed.
A new servery will be installed at the back of the church with a variety of seating areas inside and outside in the garden when the weather is good. The front of the church will receive a facelift, with a new accessible entrance facing on to Mayflower way and large windows installed on either side.
Despite the difficulties of this last year, the vision is about to become a reality and with your help, we can get it over the line.
