Make a Bed Day with The Goring and Hotel School

Organised by Hotel School

This year The Goring team are raising £50,000 for Hotel School. Make a Bed Day will see a team - led by The Goring, with Hotel School graduates - come to your hotel and clean one (or more!) of your departure rooms. Thank you for your generosity.

Hotel School started in 2017 and is a joint venture between The Passage (London’s largest voluntary sector homeless resource centre) and The Goring Hotel. We empower people who have experienced homelessness and other disadvantages to thrive in the hospitality industry.

Story

Hotel School London is a charity that empowers people experiencing homelessness and other disadvantages to find new hope and thrive in the hospitality industry. Through a dynamic 10-week programme, participants dive into a mix of hands-on experience, theory, and industry visits, giving them the tools and knowledge needed to start their careers in hospitality.

About Hotel School

Hotel School started in 2017 and is a joint venture between The Passage (London’s largest voluntary sector homeless resource centre) and The Goring Hotel. It is supported by London’s leading hospitality industry and over 50 local businesses - a true coming together of the community. The mission is simple yet impactful: to inspire and train individuals for a career in hospitality, supporting them as they take their first steps into work and providing the ongoing help they need to sustain their employment in the long run.

The focus is on equipping people with the skills they need to work in the hospitality industry, helping them find meaningful employment, and supporting them through those crucial first years in their new roles.
