Story
At The Harbour, the relationship between the client and the therapist is central to our approach. We believe that coming to terms with loss or life-threatening illness is complex and requires personalised support. Earlier this year, when it became clear that COVID-19 would mean we needed to pause our face-to-face sessions, we rapidly transitioned to providing that support online or via the phone.
We know that many of the people we support have felt isolated, some have said they have found this time confusing and full of uncertainty. Eighty-five percent of those who have responded to our survey to date had said that their life would be worse if The Harbour was unable to continue delivering support.
We knew this process wouldnt be easy, but we have been able to adapt our care package so that we are able to support our clients when they need us most. All our services are free-of-charge, so we rely upon donations in order to continue to provide our services.
Please consider donating to our Covid-19 Fundraising Campaign. You can help us by sharing this campaign with your friends, family and colleagues. We aim to ensure that anyone in Bristol who is affected by death, dying and bereavement knows that there is a free service available to them when they need us most.
