Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans' vision is that fewer people die by suicide.

Every 90 minutes, someone in the UK or Ireland takes their own life.

Samaritans are there for anyone struggling to cope. They take action to prevent people reaching crisis point. They make sure there's someone there for anyone who needs someone. They give people the skills to look after their own mental and emotional health and wellbeing, build resilience, and support others. They campaign to make suicide prevention a priority.
