The Ski 2 Freedom Foundation offers a unique platform from which people affected now, or in the future, with any type of medical/health related condition, special need or disability can gain an insight into the inclusive and accessible opportunities available to them in the mountains in winter. We live now with COVID-19 but the mountains await and our health and well-being is now more important than ever.

Since 2007, when the Ski 2 Freedom Foundation was first was founded, by Catherine Cosby whose daughter was born with a catastrophic neurological condition (Rett Syndrome), over 1400 people have experienced life-changing moments with our help and we really do need to ensure that we can continue to retain our position as the outstanding Snow Globe of inspiration and guiding hand towards accessing these amazing experiences.

Ski 2 Freedom is an established and well respected charity, promoting the empowering benefits of snow-sport and winter experiences. Our aim is to enhance the life of anyone whose health or general well-being may be affected by a life-changing, life-challenging or terminal condition (physical, cognitive, degenerative, genetic, sensory, audio or mental) with the empowering benefits of year round mountain activities.
Making dreams come true and giving young people, families, and friends the chance to embrace life and find a little magic in the winter wonderland! Each person is like a snowflake, completely unique and we believe that everyone should have a little sparkle in their lives!
For families affected by a life-limiting condition, time stands still. To have your help in giving them the opportunity to be a family, laugh and share memorable moments on the mountains is priceless!!
No one knows what is around the next corner but being able to continue to enjoy skiing or snowboarding after a trauma, diagnosis of a life-changing or life-limiting condition, is vital to our well-being and state of mind - being included is about sharing and unity! Ski 2 Freedom seeks to make the magic of winter mountain experiences truly inclusive and accessible for all!
Your generosity could help fund all kinds of experiences for our beneficiaries, in our experience we have found the 3 most effective ways we can help families when planning their ski trips is by offering:
A few hours of respite for a mother/father/primary carer approx. £75
A morning or afternoon guided sit-ski experience around the mountain approx. £150
A whole family experience such as horse/dog sleigh ride or traditional fondue in a mountain restaurant approx. £250
