Story
Today, 1 in 5 children aged 8–16yrs and almost 1 in 4 young people aged 17–19yrs have a probable mental disorder. This has risen significantly since 2017, when the figures were around 1 in 8 children and 1 in 10 young people.
At the Source we are committed to supporting local young people who are struggling with anxiety, low confidence, isolation and poor wellbeing through counselling, coaching, activity mentoring, wellbeing workshops and volunteering opportunities. Through our programmes, we help young people grow in confidence, make connections, learn new skills and build self esteem.
We invite you to partner with us by sponsoring this fundraising campaign. Your support will help us raise vital funds to provide 1:1 counselling and free, inclusive activities that support young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
Positive impact
Following a series of counselling sessions with a Source Youth Counsellor, one young person stated: “Over the past 12 weeks, you have completely changed my sense of wellbeing for the better.”
Parents see the difference
After receiving Practical Activity Mentoring from The Source Bikestart Team, a participant's mum recently commented: "Thank you for the wonderful workshop! My son enjoyed it so much. It has offered him a space to meet new people who care and are fun to be around..."
Every donation is a valuable contribution. Your donation can help a local young person feel supported, connected and able to thrive.
