Story
We are so excited to tell you about our new project The Strover Centre. A multi purpose service that will support adults with learning disabilities to take part in workshops to build life skills and provide opportunities to socialise together. Whether it be cooking as a group, learning a specific skill or meeting friends, this new service promotes independence and inclusivity. A height adjusted hob and sink and a fully accessible bathroom complement this perfectly. This campaign aims to raise money to finish buying equipment for workshops and to complete those finishing touches creating a warm and welcoming environment for chatting and meeting new and old friends. You can see from this trial 'Spaghetti Bolognaise' evening that coming together to prepare, cook and more importantly eat the food was a great success! A great example of 'Life is for Living' here at Acorn Village
