Help us provide vital youth mental health support in Nottinghamshire during a Cost of Living Crisis!

Almost of half of young people (48%) believe better or increased access to youth work support would benefit their mental health (UK Youth). Young people across Nottinghamshire need The Wolfpack Project more than ever to be there for them.

Story

The cost of living crisis is continuing to take its toll for young people, and nearly three quarters of parents (73%) believe better or increased access to youth work would help their child in aspects of their life affected by the cost of living crisis (UK Youth).

Like 2/3 of youth organisations (UK Youth), The Wolfpack Project is experiencing increased demand for services from young people as a result of poor mental health and social isolation.

The pressures caused by the cost of living crisis have had a considerable effect on the physical and mental health of young people, increasing social isolation and anxiety over paying for basic needs, as well as impacting the opportunities they have access to.

The impact of the cost of living crisis on young people is felt heavily in Nottingham, which has one of the highest rates of suicide in the East Midlands, with nearly 10,000 open referrals to children and young peoples mental health services (NHS).

As a result of a 70% reduction in funding so far this year, The Wolfpack Project is in need of your support to maintain the support services we provide for up to 2,300 young people every year across Nottinghamshire.

£15 covers art based materials for young people to help keep their minds healthy

£30 pays for a one-to-one mental health session with a youth worker

£50 allows up to 15 young people to attend as a social group and have refreshments in a comfortable setting

£100 provides funding for an activity trip, which helps young people avoid social isolation and experience activities like paddle-boarding and cinema trips with their peers

A huge part of being involved with The Wolfpack Project is feeling like I have a place that's safe to talk about my mental health, and to express myself without the fear of being judged for who I am! (Service User)

The Wolfpack Projects aims to raise £15,000 over the next 3 months to secure the funding needed to continue providing a safe space for those experiencing poor mental health and social isolation.
