The Helen Foundation (THF) celebrated Helen's 40th birthday in March this year by establishing its most ambitious ever fund-raising campaign called THF40for40, to establish a special THF Arts Recovery Fund. State funded schools and colleges across Teignbridge, South Devon can access this fund to boost their arts work so badly affected by the pandemic. Schools can:

bring in professional artists for arts-week workshops

buy in much-needed arts resources

devise a creative whole-school arts project

mount a major school production

Schools themselves individually are deciding what arts activity would have the greatest impact.

The arts have never been more important - enlightening us, challenging us, entertaining us, opening up new ways of experiencing the world, connecting us in shared experiences and giving us solace. Imagine all this time we've had to spent at home without music, films, theatre screenings, tv shows, video games, stories, dress-up, make-believe, singing and dancing, and the chance to enjoy practising arts and crafts.
