Actor Ian Bartholomew, who plays perpetrator of domestic abuse Geoff Metcalfe in Coronation Street, has released the song This Time It's Forever, and accompanying music video, to raise vital funds to help support Women's Aids work to support women and children escaping abuse. Ian was moved and inspired to write the song following researching his role with the charity. Listen to This Time It's Forever here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_b4tUfrLlEs

The Coronation Street storyline has helped to raise awareness of coercive control as a form of domestic abuse and has led many survivors to seek help from Women's Aid for the first time. Women have been in touch to tell us that, after being in a relationship with their abusive partner for decades, they are now seeking help because of what they have seen on screen.

Women's Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. Over the past 45 years, Women's Aid has been at the forefront of shaping and coordinating responses to domestic abuse through practice, research and policy. We empower survivors by keeping their voices at the heart of our work, working with and for women and children by listening to them and responding to their needs.

By donating to Women's Aid you will help us to keep supporting survivors who have been impacted by domestic abuse to reach safety, freedom and independence. Your donation will enable us to continue to campaign to achieve change in policy, practice and awareness, encouraging healthy relationships and helping to build a future where domestic abuse is no longer tolerated.

We are hugely grateful to Ian Bartholomew, and his wife theatre director Loveday Ingram, for their support of Women's Aid over the past year and for the incredible song This Time It's Forever that they have produced to raise vital funds for our work to support survivors of domestic abuse.

Thank you for your donation!
