For many years, Rotary's Thornbury Swimarathon has been a major fundraiser for the area, and very much a community event. For 2023, the main beneficiaries were South Glos Young Carers and Paul's Place, South West, a charity that helps to enhance the lives of adults who are physically disabled. Since the event started late 80's, over £500,000 has been raised for charities and good causes. Rotary is delighted that the Swimarathon continues to be popular amongst sponsors and those taking part. This fun event is always free for teams to enter and swimmers of all ages can take part. We are currently setting up our website for our next Swimarathon in March 2024.
