Mental health issues among those who work in farming and the agricultural sector are growing at an alarming rate. In order to raise funds for the East Anglian charity YANA the 'Three Old Men' with a total age of 242 are embarking on another adventure by kayaking three rivers in three counties on three days
The paddling pensioners hope their 3 rivers - 3 counties challenge will not only reap generous cash donations through sponsorship, but will also publicise the invaluable work done by YANA via their help line and support amongst those in farming and rural businesses in East Anglia.
The three ‘old men’ are two members of Holt & District Rotary, Rod Hunt (MBE) 86 and John Rampling 85; and Henry Kilvert 71, a YANA trustee
The three counties are Cambridgeshire, Essex and Suffolk which will mean that when combined with last years exploits in Norfolk they will have paddled in the four East Anglian counties in which YANA operate
The three rivers are the Cam, the Deben and the Stour.
Please support the ‘Three Old Men in Boats’ using Just Giving - your help has never been more vital. If you are a UK taxpayer then please enable the Gift Aid element so that we can reclaim your tax from HMRC.
