Just like many of you we here at the Trust have been watching the news and feel that we want to do something to support the people of Ukraine. We've been asked by members of our community what we can do so here we are. We're only a little place and we're very far away from what they are experiencing but with what is happening there in real time through our television screens it feels like the right thing to do to do to show our support from this corner of the North of Scotland.

We've been inspired by Thurso High School who are asking pupils to wear blue or yellow on Friday 4th March so are asking you to do just that. Wear blue or yellow either on Friday or over the weekend and donate a little to this fundraiser. We'll also make a wee donations box available at Socially Growing. All of the funds raised we will split and donate to the following:

Sunflower of Peace is a charity that helps paramedics and doctors, and has been fundraising for supplies, which includes first aid medical tactical backpacks.

United Help Ukraine focuses on providing medical supplies and humanitarian aid, and raising awareness of the conflict.
