Story
Our partner organisation, Tigoung Nonma, is a cooperative of disabled artisans in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
As a result of the ongoing insecurity and conflict in the country, artisans are struggling to make an income to feed and house themselves and their families. In order to build their resilience to survive within this challenging climate, Tigoung Nonma is planning to open a restaurant at their headquarters to create livelihood opportunities for its members and strengthen their economic empowerment.
LAFI Burkina is supporting Tigoung Nonma to create these new work opportunities and would appreciate your contributions to raise funds to purchase equipment for the restaurant as well as provide training for disabled artisans who will work in the restaurant.
Your donation could contribute to the following costs:
- £6 could pay for the restaurant's monthly water bill
- £10 could pay for a small, plastic dining table
- £24 could pay for a 6-month supply of cooking oil
- £58 could pay for the purchase of cutlery, crockery and cooking pots and pans
- £127 could pay for a place on a food hygiene course
- £286 could pay for a large fridge
