Story

It's Time to Tap! Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is proud to bring back this exciting annual tap-dancing event for 2024 - and this year it’s set to be bigger and better than ever!

30 years on from Roy's Tour of Hope, and unfortunately his passing, we'll be paying tribute to him whilst providing more people the chance to learn and expand their knowledge of tap dancing.

We're lucky to have wonderful tap dancer, Guinness World Record Breaker and Team GB coach Jo Scanlan with us this year. Jo has choreographed two routines along with amazing step-by-step tutorials for you to follow.

The first will be a simple routine for beginners with the second being a slightly more advanced routine for those looking for a bit more of a challenge! Both routines will be sent to all those who register to take part, so don't worry if you have two left feet or you're a trained dancer, our routines will be suitable for all abilities and you'll have access to the tutorials shortly after you register.

Once you have mastered your chosen routine, we will come together virtually on Sunday 19th May at 12 pm to tap together! Jo and Jess from Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation will go LIVE on our Time to Tap Facebook group, using Zoom as a platform, so that we can all see one another whilst we dance together in unison.

Time to Tap has been designed to create not only a one-off event but a community for all who have a passion for Tap. Become part of our tap community and join others across the nation who share the same love of tap.
