Abbey End Studios is our professional quality recording and broadcast space within the Kenilworth Centre, housing our recording booth and community online radio station - Radio Abbey

Abbey End Studio is a professional recording booth with facilities to support young people and small businesses with audio content creation from Podcasting to Audio Drama and Radio.

From our studio space we provide a learning space for you people to engage in podcasting and radio. These courses have offered young people a voice and platform to express themselves, with podcasts being created about topics they care about such as local cycle paths, autism and outdoor spaces. These courses are made affordable and accessible by the financial support of the community. Each course costs around £650, we only charge £30 per course and spaces are limited to 8.

This means each course runs at a loss of £410. This is subsided by grants and your support and donations.

Radio Abbey which broadcasts from Abbey End Studio is run entirely by volunteers including the presenters. It has over 10,000 hours listened via the website each year, 23,000 plays on Mixcloud with 850 shows available to listen to.

The schedule includes a range of shows from county music to musical and local interest shows to support the community including Spotlight around the castle, Shakespeare in the Alley and Lunchtime Live and Read to Me.

Radio Abbey supports local Businesses and events by giving them a platform to share their stories. Radio Abbey costs around £2000/£2500 each year to run. This figure does not include any room hire or utilities costs which are incurred by the Kenilworth Centre. This is funded by The Big Quiz Fundraiser, Our Sponsors The Treehouse Bookshop and Regency Fireplaces and your support and donations.
