Why TOAST?

Every morning, without fail homeless people can have access to a breakfast of tea and TOAST at Homeless Oxfordshire. No matter what their day brings they can always have the most important meal of the day.

Full up with TOAST clients will meet with our resettlement team; finding more stable accommodation in one of our community houses. They will work on a one to one basis with their support workers to develop a support plan to help unpick the reasons why they became homeless and how, by working together, we can help them get their lives back on track. Some people will be helped to find their very own accommodation working towards becoming independent and employment. People might take part in the engagement activities we offer every day, via our day service, as a meaningful use of their time. With our support clients might be meeting up and reconnecting with family for the first time in years, trying to rebuild relationships that are so important in everyones lives. And for others just trying to get through the day is a challenge; whatever our clients days may look like they all start the same; tea, TOAST and a friendly chat. When the time does come to move into more permanent accommodation we help by providing home starter kits and a TOASTER is always included!
