Story
We need your help to raise £50,000 for Moray’s survivors of sexual violence. Survivors in Moray access our service for specialist, trauma-informed support, advocacy and information. We help survivors cope with the impacts of sexual violence and help them heal from their traumatic experience.
Survivors need support at the moment they contact us. They shouldn’t have to wait for support.
Right now, over 100 survivors have to wait up to 12 months to receive the support they need. £50,000 would enable us to reduce our waiting list and support survivors when they need it most.
Survivors repeatedly tell us that they need support when they reach out or are referred to us. Having to wait months for the support they need can have negative impacts on their health, wellbeing, relationships, and livelihood. - Caroline, Manager at Moray Rape Crisis
Fundraise or donate to help us reach our goal and reach more survivors at their time of need. Your contribution makes a difference. Your donation goes straight to our frontline service supporting local survivors.
Sexual violence happens in Moray. In 2024-2025, Moray had the highest rate of recorded sexual assaults per head of population, of anywhere in Scotland. Every year, we support over 200 survivors. The need for our service far outweighs the resources we have.
As a family we are very grateful to MRC for being there and supporting us to be able to move forward knowing we had someone there to listen, offer advice and strategies. - Adult survivor
We need local action, local support and local change. We can only make a difference if we come together as a community, to stand up for the rights of survivors and fund support and prevention of sexual violence. Your donations, your fundraising and your awareness changes lives and creates a safer Moray.
Over the course of the next year, we need your help to support survivors of sexual violence in Moray. Donate today to support survivors of sexual violence in Moray.
