Story
The One Love Project is a small, independent charity offering support to some of the most vulnerable members of our community—including those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, living in insecure housing, experiencing food or fuel poverty, poor mental health, or isolation.
We provide free access to food and vital ongoing support for people across Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding areas.
We run welcoming evening sessions each week, including a dedicated Women-Only session, offering a safe space tailored to the needs of women in our community. At each session, we provide a free hot meal, access to showers, and support with clothing and other essentials
We also provide daytime foodbank services and a Wellbeing session, focused on connection, self-care, and offering holistic support.
Working alongside a trusted network of local partners, we also help people access support with mental and physical health, addiction recovery, oral hygiene, housing and more—making sure no one faces life’s challenges alone.
We believe everyone deserves access to food, safety and support. As a non-referral service, access to everything we offer is simple and barrier-free—anyone in need is welcome.
