The staff of Totley Primary School, Sheffield, called The Totley Trekkers are taking on a Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge on 25th June.

A team of 14 staff will be walking the gruelling 24.5 miles. Ascending three peaks of 694m, 736m and 723m will take the team hours on the day, but will take weeks of hard work, preparation, and dedication. 8 other staff members will be challenging themselves to walk 10 miles, climbing the third peak, Ingleborough. Every staff member will be pushing themselves.

The aim of the challenge is to raise money for 2 fantastic charities, and just as importantly, to inspire our children at Totley to take on their own personal challenges and get out and enjoy the Peak District. We will be talking to the children about our attitudes to learning that we will have to show: hard work to train for the event, team work to support each other through and the resilience to keep walking!

With the support of Staves Estate Agents, the money raised will be split equally between Edale Mountain Rescue and Totley Primary School's PTA.
