Christmas: an extra financial pressure

Many parents can struggle to afford the extra expense of Christmas. Our appeal aims to raise funds to distribute gift vouchers to local families who are really feeling the pinch so that their children can have a gift of their own choosing.

Our very successful Christmas Appeal last year supported over 600 local children, and we would love to do the same this year!

How we reach the families that most need support

We work closely with local organisations such as Uttlesford Foodbank, Mind in West Essex, schools and local support agencies to refer families to us and help us make sure this support reaches those that most need it. Working with our partners we estimate that there are more than 3,000 children in our area for whom this initiative would make a huge difference. For parents it helps to ease some of the stress and anxiety that can come with Christmas when you are struggling to pay your bills.

The more money we raise, the more children we can support. If we exceed our target, we will be able to reach further afield, as far as the money we raise allows us to go!

An ambitious target

Can you donate to help us reach our target? We would like to provide £25 worth of vouchers to as many children as possible this Christmas. This will mean that they can receive a gift that is perfect for them: that suits their hobbies, their interests and their aspirations.
