Welcome to the Trafford Park Green Community Hub – a vibrant outdoor classroom and kitchen garden which is a sanctuary for learning, wellbeing, and environmental stewardship.
We’ve outlined below some of the features which we hope to create at Trafford Ecology Park and we are now seeking support to help bring this vision to life. Your support can directly contribute to sustainability, inclusion, and community resilience - making a tangible impact in Trafford.
We’re looking to enhance and expand our outdoor kitchen area so that it’s more accessible, sustainable and functional.
We aspire to create a space which includes:
- A greenhouse
- Improved, wheelchair access throughout
- Fully functional solar-powered appliances
This space will be used with different community group for cooking demonstrations, community meals, and food education events, helping people learn more about low-carbon, locally grown food and cooking skills.
We’re looking for support to create a woodland classroom area where community groups can connect with each other and learn about nature, fostering a sense of nature stewardship.
To make this idea a reality we plan to:
- Clear a woodland space for learning
- Enhance our outdoor classroom so its equipped with electricity, lighting and PVC windows and add a wheelchair accessible ramp
- Build a new accessible toilet near to the new space
