We believe that life-changing challenges define us all. So we're challenging the TRIBE community to make 2023 a year of ADVENTURE and push the limits of human endurance to fight modern slavery and end human trafficking.

This August, we're rallying a team to take on 10 peaks in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park in under 12 hours; a route which involves over 36km and 1600 metres of elevation. Our goal is to increase awareness of modern slavery and raise £10,000 to support TRIBE Freedom Foundation, preventing modern slavery and empowering the survivors across the UK.

Why the need?

Slavery is everywhere - but it often isn't obvious. There are an estimated 122,000 victims in the UK alone with almost 50 million people trapped in modern slavery worldwide.

Our mission

TRIBE Freedom Foundation is on a mission to fight modern slavery and end human trafficking. We work by raising awareness of trafficking, supporting survivors and enabling frontline projects to prevent modern slavery. We empower communities to create an impact.

Right now, global events including climate change, the long-term impacts of COVID-19, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the rising cost of living, all continue to destabilise already fragile communities and contribute to a heightened risk of exploitation.

A holistic approach to prevention and long-term support for survivors could not be more important. As a team, we aim to raise £20,000 to support our work at TRIBE Freedom Foundation. This could help cover a year's total safe house costs for a survivor of modern slavery in one of our TRIBE-funded survivor homes.

Together, we go further and faster to end modern slavery.
