Music, both sacred and secular, has always been at the heart of Truro Cathedral's mission to serve the community. Thousands of people from across Cornwall and the world enjoy it every year, either in person or via livestreaming.
Many people - musicians, support staff and volunteers - contribute to the musical life of the cathedral. The substantial costs include salaries, scholarships, music, licensing and the care and maintenance of the instruments and livestream equipment.
The Father Willis Organ at Truro Cathedral needs regular maintenance and professional tuning to keep it at its best, for example. It's always a thrill to hear it, whether at Nine Lessons and Carols with the choir or alone at a virtuoso recital in the summer concert series. Every donation makes a difference to the continuation of this vibrant musical events programme.
Grants, donations and gifts in Wills are vital to enabling music-making at the cathedral. With your help, music at Truro Cathedral will continue to delight audiences both now and for generations to come. Thank you for your generosity.
