Our bandroom, in the centre of Turriff, Aberdeenshire, has been well used by our friendly band over the years. Unfortunately, the roof is now in a desperately poor state. Persistent leaks have caused significant water damage, leading to mould growth which poses health risks and is damaging our instruments, music and equipment.

We are in desperate need of a full roof replacement and interior renovations.

Undertaking the necessary work will include replacing the roof’s insulation with modern, eco-friendly materials. This will not only improve the room’s energy efficiency, reducing our environmental footprint, but also create a safer, more sustainable space for our band to thrive in for years to come.

How you can help:

We’re aiming to raise £40,000 to cover:

- Architecture drawings and planning

- Full roof replacement, including removal and disposal of the old roof (which contains asbestos)

- Interior repairs and renovation

- Improvement to heating and lighting

- Accessibility upgrades
