One Amazing Hike 20245 is in loving memory of Stephen Hughes, a fit and healthy young sportsman, who tragically died, at the age of 23, from the heart disease, Myocarditis. The Charity set up in his name raises funds for research into the disease to prevent other such deaths in the future, through the development of an effective and early diagnosis and treatment. It also honours Stephen's commitment to working with children in his role as a primary school teacher, through the granting of Sports and Music Development Awards for groups of children aged 5-11.
