Working in partnership with some of our founder's former pupils and villagers in Kilimanjaro, The Tumaini Trust funds tree planting and makes/distributes reusable sanitary kits to local women and girls. The Trust also teaches women and girls to sew to enable them to make their own products.

Story

The Tumaini Trust [1113901] was founded by Kath Jenkins to enable her former primary school students in Tanzania to continue their education. Now, working in partnership with some former pupils, The Tumaini Trust focuses on planting trees as well as making and distributing reusable sanitary kits to local women and girls. We are now branching out and funding the supply and installation of 8 beehives in Kilimanjaro for local women to produce and sell honey: http://www.tumainitrust.org.uk/
