Tuesday's Child Following Yonder Star Christmas Appeal is journeying to bring gifts to little children exhausted by war and extreme hardship.

We hope to bring love, joy and hope to children living in places of war: Gaza, Syria, Ukraine and Ethiopia and to children living in places of extreme poverty: Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Pakistan, India and Brazil. All donations received will be shared with charity missionary partners who make even a little go a long way.

Last Christmas, £40,367.12 was raised to benefit children. Gifts provided included essentials of food and water as well little Christmas gifts e.g. a new water well for children in Uganda, food for children in Gaza, Christmas gifts for children in Syria, parties for street children in Kenya, thanks to catholic missionaries, parish priests and religious sisters and volunteers.

Let us also pray to the Baby Jesus, Prince of Peace, through the pure hearts of Mary and Joseph, for the gift of peace for every child in our war-torn world. May His Star light and guide humanity.

May the Holy Family who were refugees and had to flee King Herod because he wanted to kill the Baby Jesus, console all families who are persecuted by modern day Herods.

May the Baby Jesus bless our world and turn hate to love, sadness to joy, despair to hope and war to everlasting peace. Let us also remember all His workers in the vineyard who bring His love to little children at Christmas and all the year through.
