🏃‍♀️ Team PLS running 10K 🏃‍♀️

Josiah, Dan, Lucy and Jonty are running the Turks Head 10K on Sunday June 7 2026 to keep riding, carriage driving and equine therapy for participants like Dan going

We daily see how being around horses enriches the lives of children and adults with disabilities or learning difficulties. We offer activities that can help improve confidence, skills and self-esteem, set within a supportive and friendly environment.

Story

If you know Nat and Dan, then you'll know they LOVE to run. You don't need to give this dream team an excuse to pick up their hooves and get going...

Both of them are running to raise money for Park Lane Stables Riding for the Disabled, so that more people like Dan (who is visually impaired and has a learning disability) can benefit from being around horses. This could be through riding, carriage driving, stable management or one of our regular social events.

Last year, we ran over 6000 sessions and helped over 800 families access the therapeutic power of horses. With your help we can continue offering this service to those who need us.

Park Lane Stables is my second home. I'd be very lonely without it. I would like everyone to have a special place like this. Dan, RDA participant

I am very proud to be representing PLS at the Turks Head 10K. Not only have they been instrumental in supporting the life and wellbeing of my brother, Thomas, they also do incredible work in the wider community. It is a privilege to be able to do my part. Jonty, Tom's brother

Park Lane Stables is like a second home. It’s a place where I feel calm, accepted and understood, and where I can be myself without worrying about fitting in. Horses help me learn in a way that makes sense to me, and through Park Lane I’ve had opportunities I never imagined’. Josiah, RDA participant

Excited to test my legs and run for Park Lane Stables - I love everything they do for children and families and would recommend anyone to volunteer with them because it’s so rewarding. Lucy - Volunteer
