The Turning of the Year concert is an annual fundraiser on behalf of Art Raft, featuring performers from Moretonhampstead and Chagford.

Art Raft provide regular creative workshop that helps people to explore their creativity in a safe and supportive space at Moreton’s Green Hill Arts centre, and one of many initiatives that comes under the wing of Wellmoor, which aims to foster community wellbeing in North East Dartmoor.

Sessions can include drawing, collage, painting, poetry, stories and a range of other creative activities. We end each session with tea, coffee and biscuits. Each session is facilitated by artist Melinda Schwakhofer who has a background in Counselling Psychology and a deep interest in the positive influence of creativity on mental health.

All donations to Art Raft will go towards subsiding places on the sessions and enable additional wellbeing workshops to be offered throughout the year.

Turning of the Year will be held on the UPDATED DATE of Saturday 2nd March 2024 at 7pm at Moretonhampstead Parish Hall. Parking is limited, with the nearest car parks at Court Street and Station Road. Seating is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis
