TVP Christmas Charity Appeal
This year TVP Church are making a Christmas appeal for the Impact Youth Groups in the Parish. Impact Youth Groups have been running for a number of years and are attracting ever increasing numbers of children and young people. Three different groups meet in the different centres of TVP – one group meets in North Middleton Village Hall fortnightly on Tuesday evenings, another group meets weekly in Pathhead Pavilion on Wednesday evenings and a third group meets in Cousland Village Hall fortnightly on Tuesday evenings.
The groups are all run by TVP Youth Worker, Reece Allan, with the assistance of volunteers. The groups are all run slightly differently but they all have games, fun and a short look at different Bible stories. In addition to running the three Impact Youth Groups, Reece helps with PYP in Pathhead, at the monthly Family Film Night in Fala and regularly, at Tynewater Primary School.
TVP receives grant funding to run the Impact Youth Groups but, in common with many such grants, the expectation of the funder is that TVP Church will raise a proportion of the necessary funding. The total cost to fund the Youth Worker in the Parish is around £30,000 per year. Every donation made by you helps fund the Youth Worker and helps continue the Impact Youth Groups in the parish. There is a huge benefit to the children and young people of the parish in having a youth group to attend locally with their friends run by an experienced youth worker and we ask for your generous support in this project by donating to ourChristmas Charity Appeal.
