Financial Planner at Law Society (NI) Financial Advice, Sean McIlwaine, is celebrating 20 years of working with True Wealth Group! An outstanding achievement to be celebrated, Sean was asked how he would like to mark the occasion. He could have asked for a present or a party, but Sean had other plans - he wanted to run the London Marathon.
Completing the marathon has been something on Seans bucket list for a while; it was important to him that the opportunity was used to also support an important charity and everyone at TWG are delighted to get behind him and support him all the way!
Together with Sean, True Wealth Group explored options and decided to partner with NSPCC. Having spent some time with NSPCC at their offices and taking the time to understand the incredible work they do, the whole TWG team have set an ambitious target of what theyd like to raise for the charity. The NSPCC operates across all of the UK and Channel Islands with multi-faceted services, supporting children and young people, as well as parents, parents to be, families, schools and much more. One of the charitys key services is Childline a lifeline for young people to contact for support and advice with any issue. Childline is open 24/7, 7 days a week and is completely free for children and young people to contact. On average, a child contacts Childline every 25 seconds:
I just wanted to thank you for all of your help when I opened up about how hard I was finding it to cope with my suicidal feelings and self-harming. I know I was hesitant at you getting me help, but I really do appreciate you doing so.

Currently, Childline takes approximately £30k a day to run. The team at TWG have seen first-hand the work they do and the essential service they provide to children and young people and are proudly coming together to raise vital funds for this important service.
Were very grateful for any contribution you can make to this cause. As well as the marathon, various members of our team are taking part in several other activities, such as the Yorkshire Three Peaks, clocking up the 655 miles between our 5 offices by bike, walking and running and many other initiatives.
We know times are tough but please help us if you can. Every childhood is worth fighting for. Donating to the NSPCC protects children today and helps prevent abuse tomorrow.
The True Wealth Group are building one of the UKs leading financial planning wealth management groups but doing so with a difference.
