UET raising funds for a minibus

Uplands Enterprise Trust are raising funds for a minibus.
Uplands Enterprise Trust are raising funds for a minibus.
The young adults from UET are actively fundraising for a minibus so they can travel together in a large group and accommodate up to 4 wheelchair users.
At present they struggle to access public transport, and this limits their ability to take part in day-to-day activities in and around their community. They enjoy going to cafes and taking part in ice skating and swimming, but access to public transport limits how many people can attend and this impacts on the choices available to them.
It’s important for everyone to feel that they have purpose in the community, and they often volunteer to present and sing at the local Memory Cafes and have put on performances at the Swindon Mecca to raise funds.
Having a minibus would enable them to be more inclusive and have more options to take part in different activities and make sure no one misses out on doing something they enjoy.
They are excited to go on trips to the beach and Cotswold Wildlife Park and places they couldn’t access before with their new minibus!
They have already been successful and received £20k from The National Lottery but still have a long way to go. If you can spare £5 every little helps and they would be extremely grateful.
There are lots of other ways to help raise funds so please check out their website for ideas.
