Who are Ukrainian Frontline Hospitals
Ukraine’s Frontline Hospitals is a Kyiv-based charity that supports frontline medics who rescue injured from the war. We assist doctors on every stage —from battlefield first aid to stabilization units and frontline city hospitals. We work to ensure that every critical link in the chain oflifesaving care, from a combat medic vehicle to the surgery theater’s equipment, is fully supplied to save lives.
How and to whom we help
On Ukrainian frontlines, in the absence of air evacuation, ground-based medical evacuation vehicles (medevacs) are the only lifeline for the wounded. These vehicles reach injured in the combat zone and provide life-saving stabilization on the move to the closest surgical team.
Without a medevac vehicle, many critically wounded have no chance of survival. And if the vehicle lacks essential medical equipment, the chances of the wounded reaching a medical facility alive are drastically reduced.That’s why we focus our efforts on ensuring medics have enough medevac vehicles, that these vehicles are properly re-equipped, outfitted with basic protective features for use in combat zones, and stocked with all the necessary medical equipment and supplies to stabilize the injured on the move.
What we do to save lives
An ambulance usually works in the civil life, where nobody tries to target it and destroy it. However, taking into consideration the realities of russian war against Ukraine, we have to equip our ambulance, so it will become a frontline medevac. This includes several upgraded features:
- Re-equipped interior to comfortably fit a lying patient or several patients;
- Camouflage paint, armoured glass files, substitution of unnecessary glass with metal- Autonomous heating system
- Night vision cameras (back and force vision)
- Red interior lighting
- Power inverters and power stations to run medical and non-medical devices
- Medical equipment (oxygen concentrators, defibrillators, ECG monitors)
- Medical consumables.
But in order to complete all the requests from the medics and equip an ambulance, we need the vehicle in the first place. This is where we are heavily relying on your help, as we would not be able to collect funds for an ambulance independently. Please, support our cause, because it is indeed live-saving.
