The Prudential RideLondon Cycling Festival is a celebration of all things two wheels. Over 100,000 cyclists are expected to take part in the sixth year over the course of August 3-4 2019.

We are cycling to raise funds for the Leicester Hospitals Charity Baby Loss Appeal, which our colleague Sam has first hand experience of.

In February of this year Sam went into labour prematurely with her identical twin sons and sadly her eldest son Harry was stillborn and her youngest son Jack passed away shortly after birth.

Sam and her husband were fortunate enough to have the use of a maternity bereavement suite at Leicester Royal Infirmary, where they could spend some time with their boys in a quiet and comfortable environment.

Sam has told how grateful they were for this space and the support of the maternity team, which made this very difficult experience a little easier.

By raising money for the Baby Loss Appeal we are hoping to continue the good work the Leicester hospitals provide families who experience a stillbirth or neonatal death.
