Story
In March we will gather in Edinburgh for a charity dinner with one purpose: to help keep hope moving.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, volunteers from Pickups for Peace have been driving convoys of vehicles and humanitarian aid directly to the people who need them most. What began as a small idea has grown into something extraordinary.
So far, 26 convoys have delivered more than 830 vehicles, supported by 1,460 volunteer drivers, with humanitarian aid valued at over £7 million.
Each vehicle, each generator, each delivery represents something practical and powerful. Mobility. Light. Warmth. The ability for communities to keep going through incredibly difficult circumstances.
On our most recent convoy we saw first-hand how much these deliveries matter. Generators were loaded onto trucks bound for Kyiv to help keep essential buildings running during power outages. Fishing nets were delivered that will now be used to protect and shield vulnerable locations. These are simple things, but in the right place they make a profound difference.
Behind every convoy are volunteers who give their time, donors who give generously, and communities across the UK who refuse to look away.
This Edinburgh dinner is part of that story.
Funds raised will help support future convoys and provide the vehicles, generators and equipment that are urgently needed across Ukraine.
Every donation helps keep the wheels turning. Because hope is not static. Hope is still moving. And with your help, it will keep going.
