Help Hospices of Hope save the First Childrens Hospice in Ukraine from closure
Welcome to our fundraising page for the First Children's Hospice in Nadvirna, Ukraine. We are here to appeal to your generosity to help save this vital facility that provides care and comfort to children with life-limiting illnesses.
The hospice is a beacon of hope for families in Ukraine who have children with terminal illnesses. It offers a wide range of services, including medical care, pain relief, psychological and spiritual support, and respite care for families. It is the first and only hospice of its kind in the region, in Ukraine.
The hospice is facing a critical financial situation, and we urgently need your support to keep it running. Due to the ongoing war and economic crisis in Ukraine, the hospice has seen a significant decrease in donations and support. This has put the hospice at risk of closure, which would be devastating for the children and families who rely on its services.
By making a donation today, you can help us keep the hospice open and continue to provide essential care and support to children with life-limiting illnesses. Your donation will go towards the cost of medical equipment, medicines, and the salaries of the hospice staff who work tirelessly to care for the children and their families.
Your donation, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference to the lives of these children and their families. It will provide them with the care and support they need during the most challenging times of their lives.
Please join us in our mission to save the First Children's Hospice in Nadvirna, Ukraine. Your contribution will help make a world of difference to the children and their families. Thank you for your support.
Hospices of Hope is the only UK charity dedicated to the development of hospice care in South-East Europe. Our goal is to work with our country partner charities to increase access to palliative care services for children, adults and young people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and support their family members. Hospice care, through its multi-disciplinary approach (medical, psychological, social and spiritual) aims to improve the quality of life for the patient and his/her family members.
There is currently very little specialist care available in this region, which means that patients often suffer unnecessary pain. We believe that everyone deserves to live and die with dignity and without pain. Our aim is for everyone to be able to receive free of charge, professional holistic care at the end of life. Many health care professionals do not learn about palliative care during their training. Through our country partners, we provide courses in palliative care techniques. This means that far more people receive good end of life care as more doctors, nurses and social workers have the knowledge and skills to look after them.
