Under a Dry Roof

Our Grade I medieval church is suffering because of problems with the roofs. Specialist leadworks and carpenters are waiting to replace the worn-out material but we need your help to meet the costs which are beyond the means of the congregation.

The Parochial Church Council is the annually elected group that has the legal responsibility for the work of the parish church. All costs are found from donations from worshippers and supporters. One of the largest financial burdens is the upkeep of this beautiful Grade 1 Listed historic church.

Story

The Church of St Peter and St Paul in East Harling is not only a monument to the past, and to the history of the people of East Harling, but the home of a lively and loving community of faith, reaching out to everyone in the village and beyond. So that we can continue to be a place where God is worshipped, where children are blessed, couples proclaim their love for each other, and we can say farewell to those whom we have loved, the fabric of this beautiful building has to be maintained. By giving to our campaign to repair the roof, you're not just safeguarding a landmark: you are providing for future generations to encounter the beautiful and transcendent right here in this place. We thank you for your generosity in giving, and pray that you will know the blessing that comes from sharing what God has given us.
