Despite tireless efforts by our wonderful team, the costs of keeping our horses healthy, maintaining our facilities, and delivering high-quality, inclusive sessions have risen sharply. Feed, bedding, vet care, insurance, utilities — everything we rely on to keep the Centre running is more expensive than ever. Yet our commitment to our life-changing work remains steadfast.

Whilst the charity has acted responsibility, making all the necessary cost-saving measures it can, due to a small deficit each month the Centre is at a critical crossroads.

If we can secure real, immediate donations, then we can develop and progress our plan for the future. A robust, responsible plan to stabilise, grow and thrive, ensuring we can be here to provide our vital service for so many local families in the future.

Every year, it costs the charity £280,000 to run the Unicorn Centre. Reaching our target of £100,000 will give us the opportunity to provide a service that so many families rely on; to close the immediate funding gap and develop a sustainable model to keep the doors open for everyone that needs us tomorrow.

We have secured the expert backing from RDA UK, the national charity that supports a UK-wide federation. This has allowed us the room to operate for a further six months and they will guide us through a reimagination of how we operate more efficiently. This will help us to build the Centre sustainably for a long-term future.
