National Finals - Music Festival Appeal

Unity School have qualified for the National Music Festival Finals to be held in August. Help is urgently needed to pay for transport, accommodation and food so that these dreams can come true.

Closes 09/08/2025

We believe that being born into poverty does not mean you cannot learn or successfully pass examinations, and it does not mean that you cannot grow up contributing to society and making life better for others. We also believe that education is the key to escape the poverty trap.

Story

We are very excited to share that Unity School have qualified for the Kenya National Music Festival in Meru from 3rd - 5th August.

At the regional finals the Primary School Mixed Choir (set piece) finished in second place, and the Junior School Boys Choir (set piece) finished in first place!

This is a historic moment for our school, and we couldn't be prouder of our gifted learners, devoted teachers, and ever-supportive community.

The cost to take the 80 pupils and 6 teachers to the music festival is 552,000 KES, or approximately £3,100. These costs include transport, food and 4 nights accommodation.

For many of these children, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Sadly, some come from homes where even a daily meal is not guaranteed. This dream could fade unless kind hearts step in.

We urgently need your help to raise this money.
