Story
We are a student-run trampoline club at the University of York, helping beginners and experienced members develop and achieve their own personal goals with the sport. Whether you've never been on a trampoline before or you've been doing it for years, we have something for you. Our members get access to qualified British Gymnastic coaches and equipment, as well as being able to help you gain new qualifications to become a coach or judge for the club. Once you've learnt the basics, we travel up and down the country to compete against other universities and their students.
With this year’s 12 hour bounce fundraiser, we're raising money both for our club and the charity Kidney Research UK and will split the money 50/50.
Kidney Research UK is the leading kidney research charity in the UK. Worldwide, 1 in 10 people suffer from chronic kidney disease, for which there is no cure. Money donated to the charity helps fund vital research to help find a cure and improve the lives of many.
For more information about Kidney Research UK, read their webpage: www.kidneyresearchuk.org/
The money that the club raises for itself will go towards a number of different things from competition subsidies to keep costs down for our members, to new equipment, and to the general upkeep and running costs of the clubs.
Our 12-hour bounce will be in the University of York Sports Centre sports hall on 6th June 2024, 8:30am-8:30pm. Anyone is welcome to join in. Just come along, sign our waiver, donate £5 and stay as long as you like.
