Refugee Biriyani & Bananas STORY

Although our current base of operations is in Greece we have led aid delivery missions to France, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Ukraine, Belarus border and Northern Iraq. We continue to be a mobile organisation, responding to emergencies worldwide as and if necessary, as well as focussing on supporting people living in refugee camps and other unstable settlements in Greece.

The ‘refugee crisis’ in Greece is a humanitarian crisis at our doorsteps in Europe leading to torture and death of innocent people due to harmful and discriminatory political agendas without consideration for human rights. The human beings at the core of this crisis are forgotten but they too have names, stories, and hopes, just like all of us:

- Bashir, 22 years old, was a professional football player in Somalia and wants to continue his sport.

- 15 years old Zahra from Afghanistan is an artist and wants to study at university to be a female rights lawyer.

- The Fakhri family consists of Mr Fakhri a doctor from Syria, his wife who is an Arabic teacher and their son who likes to read Harry Potter books.

They are all struggling to survive in Greek refugee camps.
