We don't have a lot of green space at Urmston Primary School, so we want to make the most of what we have.

There's been a lot of work in the EYFS and KS1 garden areas over the last few years, but the KS2 playground is a vast expanse of gravel with a strip of AstroTurf.

We want to make use of the area at the front of the school where the apple trees are to create a "Zen Reading Garden". This will be a quiet shady area for children to read in, surrounded by soothing aromatic herbs and interesting plants.
