Story
Walk the Peaks for Men’s Mental Health
On Saturday 9th May, members of the Under the Bridge Project, alongside friends, supporters, and anyone who wants to get involved, will be taking on a 20-mile circular walk from Sheffield into the Peak District and back.
This inspiring fundraising challenge will raise vital funds and awareness for our Under the Bridge men’s mental health project, helping us continue to support men across our local community through connection, conversation, creativity, and blue space wellbeing.
The Challenge
Participants will set off from Sheffield, heading out into the stunning landscapes of the Peak District before completing the circular route back into the city.
This is more than just a walk.
Every mile represents strength, support, and solidarity for men’s mental health.
Together, we’ll be walking to show that no man has to face life’s challenges alone.
Every step helps us to:
Raise awareness of the mental health challenges faced by men
Fund vital support sessions, outreach, and wellbeing activities
Build stronger peer support networks
Show that recovery happens through connection and community

About Under the Bridge
The Under the Bridge Project, delivered by Bluetonic and Nottingham C.A.N, is a men’s mental health project for men of all ages.
The project explores the positive impact of blue spaces, outdoor activity, creativity, and shared experiences on mental wellbeing.
Through activities including wild swimming, cold water dips, walking groups, music, poetry, painting, yoga, sound baths, climbing, guest performances, and residential trips, we help men build confidence, friendships, resilience, and hope.
This Peak District challenge reflects everything the project stands for movement, connection, nature, and walking side by side.
