UTMB - Ultra Trail Mont Blanc - is a 174km trail race that circumnavigates Mt Blanc, travels through three countries and involves total climbing of more than 10,000m vertical.

Tom Kinsley is about to undertake this gruelling race. He has been training in the European alps throughout late July and into August specifically for this race.

You may have seen us post about Tom's fundraising effort for AP before. Tom is yet again pushing his body to the limits in the hope that he can raise funds for the Nick Kinsley scholarship. This scholarship provides one fully funded position at the AP Summer School each year.

The race will begin at 1600 GMT on Fri 30 August in Chamonix, France.
