After being donated our trusted van from a kind local Gosport resident in 2018, sadly at a ripe old age of 23 it has finally decided it’s the time to go to van heaven.

Many of our supporters will have seen us at local events with our stall that we are very well known for with our Prize every time teddy tombola and pocket money sensory toy stall, sometimes with an added hook a duck too. Over the events season we can raise around £10,000 for the charity to continue the great work we do, but this year we need a new van to be able to do this.

This is where we need your help, We now need to fundraise desperately for a new to us van. We don’t need brand new, we need new to us and trustworthy so that we can get from A to B with all the events equipment we need for our fun fantastic fundraising and awareness stall that we take to events in the community over the summer season and beyond.

We have calculated that to hire a van for all the events we have booked in so far ( there are more that we can book but are reluctant to without a van) would cost between £2100 and £2400 just for this year alone and this could easily increase to up to £3000 if we were to book in other events. This doesn’t make financial sense to us. But not only that, we arent getting any younger, ME included and having to lift and shift the heavy equipment in and out of a van several times a day isn’t overly practical for us (shameless plug for some younger, stronger, fit and healthy volunteers that may wish to help us out with events please get in touch)

I am by no means a van expert but from some research I have carried out I can see that we would be able to purchase a van for approx. £10000, possibly even less and if that is the case we would use any additional funding to cover insurance, vehicle tax and signage on the new van.
