The British Heart Foundation is working towards a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. By 2030, they want to see advances across the spectrum of heart and circulatory diseases; they want to prevent these conditions from developing and want those with existing conditions to have better, longer lives.
The BHF raise money to research cures and treatments, so they can give people more time with the ones they love.
As an official charity partner of the BHF, they can offer us workplace health checks, well-being and volunteering opportunities, CPR training, recycling drives and team-building exercises.
We can't wait to see how our partnership evolves! Thank you for your support. Every single donation really will make a difference.
Alex Dalton and Chis Watson of VGC organised a charity football match between colleagues from VGC Head office.
Each player donated £5.00 to play, along with two office sweepstakes held on the first goal scorer and first yellow card.
Both sets of players left everything on the pitch resulting in what turned out to be a very competitive game, that concluded with ‘Team Dalton’ picking up a 2-0 victory.
Chris Watson kindly arranged the use of the grounds at the Northwood Cricket Club. We had nets / goals donated by one of our Labour Managers Nick Wells. It did take a while to get to grips with putting up the goals, however, we eventually got the knack. Unfortunately, one did blow down during the game 😊.
VGC Staff came out to support Team Watson and Team Dalton and were treated to an exciting game of football.
It was a lovely sunny afternoon and VGC arranged drinks and food for players and spectators.
Well done to everyone who helped in arranging the event and to everyone who donated.
The event helped to raise approximately £202 for the BHF.
